WHO WE ARE

From its founding, NFL Alumni’s mission has been “Caring for Kids”. Over the past 39 years, the Minnesota Chapter of NFL Alumni has contributed over $4.2 million to more than 40 organizations benefiting children in our community, children with health needs, education, skill development needs, and basic welfare needs. Local charities that we support include: Bolder Options, YMCA Camp Menogyn, Minnesota Adult & Teen Challenge, Northern Star Scouting, Newborn Foundation, Children’s Cancer Research Fund, Make-A-Wish, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and many others.

Founded in 1967 by a small group of retired NFL players, the National Football League Alumni is the oldest, most well-known and well-respected retired player organization in professional sports.  The Minnesota Chapter was founded in 1982 by NFL Alumni Volunteers who created two fundraising events, the Gala and Golf Classic, with 100% of the net proceeds raised to benefit area children focused charities.

MISSION & VISION

NFL Alumni also has a traditional mission of “Caring for Kids” across the country. Player alumni give back in their local communities by raising funds for youth-related charities through their 35 regional chapters. It is a tradition that has existed for more than 50 years. Alumni support typically raises more than $1.5 million dollars for worthwhile causes.
